Why this blog?

This blog is intended to gather all the information related with the subject Advanced Qualitative Methods in Knowledge Society Research in the UOC. The proposed method to gather and analyze this information is based on the rules described in the Grounded Theory.
The Grounded Theory offers a standard procedure to manage qualitative researches. According to my understanding, the methodology requires the following steps:

  • Defining the research Problem and Question.
  • Data Collection.
  • Prepare a Theoretical Framework.
  • Describe the analytical Framework.
  • Cycle review.

It is specially interesting the cycle review process. From this point of view a grounded theory could be built as it is advancing in the data analysis. I've found some relation with the famous PDCA cycle or also known as Deming’s cycle. PDCA is a method based on four main activities (Plan – Do – Check - Act).
